Most mapping services are organised around a project type. This one is organised around volume and flexibility. Whether you need a single map for a report or a consistent set of four hundred covering every property in a study area, the same production process applies. Only the scale changes.

Where a job involves more than a handful of maps, every output in the set comes back with identical styling, scale treatment, legend and layout, so the set reads as one document rather than a collection of unrelated figures. Adding more maps to an existing set later is straightforward.

We also take on the requirements that do not have an obvious home. Niche subject matter, an unusual output size, a format your software insists on, a layout that has to match an existing document set. If it can be mapped, we will scope it.

Single maps
A one-off map drawn for a specific purpose: a report figure, a presentation graphic, a site plan, a display piece. Drawn individually and styled to your requirements.
Small sets, 2 to 20
A consistent group covering multiple sites, stages or themes. Shared styling and legend so the set reads as one document rather than a collection of unrelated figures.

How the job runs

  1. Scope and sample

    You tell us the purpose, the coverage and roughly how many maps. We confirm what data is needed and what the output has to look like.

  2. Sample for approval

    For any set larger than a few maps, we produce a single sample first and get your sign-off on styling, layout and labelling before the rest of the set is produced.

  3. Production

    The full set is produced to the approved sample. Every map comes out with identical treatment, and outputs are checked for labelling collisions, extent errors and missing data.

  4. Delivery

    The set is delivered in your required formats, named to your convention, with an index if the run warrants one.

Frequently asked questions

How many maps can you produce at once?
There is no practical ceiling. Runs in the hundreds are routine. The limiting factor is usually the quality and completeness of the source data, not the number of maps.
How is bulk work priced?
Bulk work is quoted per series rather than per map, based on the coverage, the data involved and the output requirements. Send through roughly how many maps you need and what they have to show, and we will come back with a fixed price for the set.
Can every map in the set look identical?
Yes, and that is the point of producing them as a series. Scale treatment, legend, north arrow, title block, colours and fonts stay consistent across the whole set, so it reads as a single coherent document.
What if my requirement is unusual?
Send it through. This service exists specifically for work that does not fit the standard categories. If the underlying data exists or can be sourced, it can generally be mapped. If it cannot, we will tell you that rather than quote around it.
Do I need to supply the data?
Not necessarily. We can work from data you provide, source it from public and government datasets, or combine both. If you have data in an awkward format, our GIS processing service can clean and convert it first.
Can the set be reissued later if the data changes?
Yes. Sets can be reissued against updated data without repeating the full setup, so revisions and later stages of a project are quicker to turn around than the original job.
How long does a bulk mapping job take?
A single map is usually 1 to 2 business days. Small sets typically take 2 to 5. Large series generally complete within 5 to 10 business days depending on the data and the sign-off cycle on the sample. A firm timeline comes with your quote.
Can the maps carry our branding?
Yes. Logos, colour schemes, fonts and layout conventions are applied across the entire set at no additional charge, so outputs go straight into your reports or client deliverables.
